Available Scholarships

INCRS funds are dispersed year-round to support scholarships for the NCRC national weeklong cave rescue training as well as other offerings such as the weekend-long Orientation to Cave Rescue (OCR) and In-Cave Emergency Exercises (ICEE) classes, as well as the speciality courses such as SPAR (Small Party Assisted Rescue) or other approved cave-rescue training opportunities. The general INCRS application link and criteria may be found on the “Apply” page: https://incrs.org/apply/

——————————————————–

The National Cave Rescue Commission also offers a national scholarship for those attending weeklong training. Contact scholarships@ncrc.caves.org for more information. Individuals who receive funding from an NCRC national scholarship for the same training will only be eligible for a partial INCRS award, not to exceed a maximum of 50% total registration costs (both sources combined). In consideration of applicant privacy, award winners are not announced publicly.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all donors, applicants, and others who support cave rescue training!

Because of the need in the region for both cave rescue training and scholarships, the INCRS is currently accepting donations. Please contact us at any time if you would like to make a donation. Thank you!

*Note: The Indiana Cave Rescue Scholarship is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Cave Rescue Commission or National Speleological Society. The INCRS Committee consists of local cavers who are enthusiastic about rescue training and are motivated to coordinate resources for other individuals seeking to enhance their skills in order to contribute to the local network of safety-conscious and technically proficient cavers.
