The InCRS Committee selected the scholarship recipients for the 2023 NCRC Weeklong Training, held in Mentone, Alabama. In consideration of the applicants’ privacy, the Committee has opted to withhold the names of the award winners, though we are look forward to working with these individuals in future cave rescue endeavors. Congratulations!
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all donors, applicants, and others who make this assistance possible! InCRS funds will continue to be dispersed to support scholarships for upcoming local trainings, such as weekend-long Orientation to Cave Rescue (OCR) and In-Cave Evacuation Exercises (ICEE) classes, as well as future NCRC Weeklong trainings outside of Indiana.
The National Cave Rescue Commission also offers a national scholarship for those attending weeklong training. Information on how to apply for the national scholarship will be announced when event registration commences. Individuals awarded the national scholarship will typically not be eligible to also receive a local InCRS award.
Stay tuned for future announcements and scholarship opportunities. Because of the need in the region for both cave rescue training and scholarships, the InCRS is still accepting donations. Please contact us at any time if you would like to make a donation. Thank you!
