The number of awards dispersed depends on the overall cost of the training, the number applying for the scholarship, and INCRS funds currently available.
If you receive an INCRS scholarship, you will be responsible for paying the remainder of your registration fees. In the event the scholarship winner does not attend the training, funding will not be awarded. In the event the course is cancelled, no funding will be dispersed and the application process will start anew with a new course.
Must be 18 or older to apply. Priority for selecting scholarship recipients will be based on several criteria, including:
- Proximity to Indiana’s highest density cave regions (i.e South-Central)
- Involvement in local cave-related organizations and initiatives (grotto membership, conservation efforts, other related activities)
- Likelihood of long-term commitment to the Indiana cave community
- Financial need
- Level 1 training applicants attending NCRC Weeklong
